The closest airport to Costa Esuri is Faro in Portugal – just 40 minutes easy motorway drive away. Alternatively, Seville (a much quieter airport) is easily accessible via motorway but is approximately 1.5 hours drive.

Most of the low cost airlines fly to Faro (several also to Seville) and off peak a flight can be purchased for less than £30 return excluding taxes. A car is essential and care should be taken if you are bringing your own golf clubs to ensure you have requested a large enough vehicle. The basic cost cars are the size of a Corsa and they weren’t designed with golfers in mind! A

CAR HIRE
Most of the major car hire companies operate out of both Faro & Seville airports.
I recommend booking a car before you travel and significant savings can be made by using one of the online car hire services rather than booking with the car hire companies direct.
PLEASE NOTE that if you are hiring a car at Faro Airport as you will be travelling across the border into Spain you need to let the car hire company know at the time of booking. Most allow this with no problem but some add a surcharge of up to about euros 50.
I’ve found AVIS to be the most efficient although SIXT & Europcar have also been excellent.
At Faro you normally collect the car from the airport but return the vehicle to a depot just outside the airport. A courtesy bus (not normally much of a wait) brings you to the terminal.
